Policies, Terms & Conditions


1. Keys and Alarms

Keeping your home safe and secure is one of our top priorities. We request customers store the key in a secure area, a lockbox, or provide keyless entry instructions. The code for entry and alarm should be provided to the Squeaky Green main office and will be kept on file in our secure client management system.  If we arrive to clean your home and are unable to enter, a lockout fee of $75.00 will be charged to your account.

2. Arrival Notice

For days when you plan to be home to provide access to your cleaning team, we will provide you with a window or block of time (e.g. 8:00 - 10:00 am).  We do our best to ensure that we arrive during that window but if we are unable to due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as early as possible.


3. Services That Are Not Included

For safety reasons, we do not clean ceilings, exterior walls or windows, or surfaces beyond normal reach. We do not steam or chemical clean carpets but we are happy to refer you to one of our trusted carpet cleaning partners.


4. Payments

For your convenience, Squeaky Green House Clean accepts credit card payments through our customer portal. Payment for all cleaning services is due at the time of booking.


5. Cancellation

We understand that things happen and that you may need to cancel or reschedule your services.  However, we require a 24-hour notice, which provides us with adequate time to notify our cleaners. If a 24-hour notice is not given and we send out a team to clean, we will charge a $75.00 cancellation fee. Full refunds will be issued if a 24-hour notice is provided.

6. Our Squeaky Green Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you are not happy with your service, let us know within 24 hours and we will come out and re-clean the area at no additional charge.


7. Gratuity

Tips are not required but are always appreciated. Feel free to give your cleaning professional a tip. It will make their day! If you feel so inclined, you can tip via our online portal. You can also tip in cash as long as the gratuity is marked for your cleaner (preferably in a sealed envelope with their name on it).  

8. Safety

It is our priority to always provide a safe environment for our cleaners. To avoid any possible risk or injuries, our cleaners do not lift anything heavier than 35 lbs or use ladders.  If you would like us to clean behind the refrigerator, stove, sofa, or other heavy furniture, please move it before the scheduled cleaning so that your cleaning team can access the area.

If our cleaners determine that it is unsafe to enter or clean your home for any reason, no service will be provided and you will be notified right away, and dependent on the circumstances, a $75.00 cancellation fee may be applicable.

9. Soliciting Squeaky Green Cleaners

Although we are excited that you love our Squeaky Green Cleaners, our customers are prohibited from hiring any past or present team members that you are introduced to through Squeaky Green House Clean for any home-related services for 3 years from the last day of your service.  If you wish to employ a Squeaky Green Cleaner, our fee is $3500.00. This fee is due in full immediately upon employing or using the past or present team member, regardless of whether the employment is continuous or on a contract basis.  Squeaky Green House Clean reserves the right to pursue alternate methods of collection if the fee is not paid.


10. Damage or Losses

Our Squeaky Green Cleaners take every precaution possible to ensure that items are handled with care. However, if something is found to be damaged or broken, please notify us within 24 hours of the cleaning date we will make arrangements to have the item repaired or replaced. In the rare occurrence that your keys are lost or miscoded, key replacement costs/locksmith fees will be reimbursed by Squeaky Green House Clean.

Squeaky Green is not liable or responsible for cash, jewelry, one-of-a-kind or hard to find items, items of sentimental value, art, antiques, or electronics. We encourage you to secure all personal and valuable belongings.

Lastly, if any invoices remain unpaid, all rights regarding a damage or loss claim will be waived until the outstanding amount is paid in full.

11. Privacy Policy

To provide quality cleaning services for your home, Squeaky Green House Clean must collect, use, and disclose information about our customers. We use a password protected application that stores the personal information collected.  In some instances, we also collect personal information in written form, which is kept in a secure location with controlled access. We do not collect, use, or disclose any personal information about a customer to a third party without the consent of the customer, except where required by law or as authorized to do so by the Privacy Act.


12. Pets

Although we love furbabies, we want to make sure that we keep your pets safe and secure while we are cleaning your home. To help us with this, we require that all pets (cats, dogs) be either kenneled or in a closed-off area. We appreciate your understanding.


13. Photograph Release 

Squeaky Green may take photographs of your home to ensure your specific cleaning needs are met. We will also occasionally use before/after photographs to promote the quality of our work for advertising purposes. No identifiable features of your home or family will be included in such photographs without your express written permission.

14. Comment Policy (Regarding the Blogs Posts)

Squeaky Green House Clean reserves the right to edit or delete any comments submitted to the blog without notice. This comment policy is subject to change at any time. If you have any questions about the commenting policy, please let us know at [email protected].
